The Global Mobile Game Confederation (GMGC) has decided to come to Manila and the timing couldn't be any better. After all, everywhere in the metro, people are turning to their smartphones to play some challenging games on their own or with a gaming network. It's fun. It's exciting. And it has become definitely addictive. This is exactly why it's high time for everyone to attend the upcoming GMGC 2017 in Manila.

GMGC Manila 2017 promises to bring together over 1,000 mobile game developers and game experts along with the industry's investors and executives. This is the perfect event to attend if you want to know more about the mobile gaming world or if you want to become a part of the industry soon.

Here are three interesting facts about GMGC Manila:

1. Visitors can pitch ideas and win a contest at the same time.

For those who have always been thinking about setting up their own mobile game, perhaps GMGC Manila 2017 is where their dreams can turn into reality. After all, this event features the Indie Pitch Arena. Here, game developers can present their game concept to potential investors and partners while explaining the technical, visual, audio and design aspects of their concept to the judges.

Visitors who wish to join should bring a working demo of the game at the event. If a pitch is successful, a lucky person can take home a cool cash prize. Indie Pitch Arena will award $1,000 (P49,652) to the second place winner and $2,000 (P99,304) to the first place winner.

2. Speakers include a number of the country's top celebrities.

Joining this year's GMGC Manila are a host of celebrity speakers who worked with branded mobile games developer Xeleb Technologies. These include Isabelle Daza, Anne Curtis, Erwan Heussaff and Alejandro "Kuya Kim" Atienza. They are expected to provide insight on both gamification and content creation.

3. There are three kinds of tickets available.

Regular tickets worth $40 (P1,986) gets visitors access to the Main Stage and Indie Pitch Arena, as well as the official party. Meanwhile, Advanced tickets worth $150 (P7,447) provides access to the Main Stage, Indie Pitch Arena and Meet & Greet event. The ticket also comes with unlimited drinks at the official party and up to 30 requests at the online Biz-Match system.

For those who can afford to splurge some more, the $500 (P24,826) Expert (VIP) ticket gives access to the Main Stage, Indie Pitch Arena, VIP dinner, Meet & Greet event, VIP lounge and lunch. Enjoy unlimited drinks at the official party and unlimited requests in the online Biz-Match system too.
