Philbike Expo 2016, an annual consumer cycling show, is happening on Nov. 26 and 27 at the SMX Convention Center. Now on its third year, the event aims to engage more cycling enthusiasts and provide them access to local and international products and demonstrations.

Here are the five reasons why you should not miss the Philbike Expo 2016:

1. The third Philbike Expo brings international top riders to Manila.

The two-day international standard trade and consumer cycling show will showcase the skills of world-renowned riders. These include six-time Elite World Cup champion Kenny Belaey, who is widely referred to as “The Magician,” and the award-winning Japanese prodigies Yu Shoji and Takumi Isogai, collectively known as "SuperKids."

Accompanying the Japanese teenagers is their mentor, 35-year-old Spaniard, Viki Gómez, who is returning to the event for the second year in a row. Also in the list of attendees is Canadian Geoff Gulevich who is invited to display his prowess in a special, one-day only performance.

2. The bike expo will have 100 brands in display.

The event will bring together over 100 brands from the world of cycling and fitness. This gives enthusiasts and first-timers alike the chance to check out the latest the industry has to offer.

PhilBike earlier teased on its Facebook page that a certain rider from Italy will be representing an iconic brand, that bears their family name, will be present at the event. Some users guessed that it could be Alessandro Colnago, whose family owns the high-end road-racing bicycles manufacturing company, Colnago.

3. It features indoor interactive displays.

To complement these brands, the PhilBike Expo 2016 offers a lineup of unique indoor interactive features to keep the adrenaline flowing. Among the hot features are the following:

  • Triathlon Station: Where exclusive deals will be sold
  • Tryout Station: A simulated road conditions to test the bike you want to buy
  • Kids Station: A miniature obstacle course for the kids participating in the event

A booth will also be set up for small entrepreneurs that will sell non-bike, local goods and other services.

4. It gives a chance to win brand new mountain bikes.

Participate in any of the games, contests, raffles and get a chance to take home brand new mountain bikes, as well as a collection of other prizes. It is only among the many reasons why the PhilBike Expo is considered an international standard show in the country as it makes the event engaging even to kids.

The event guarantees pure bicycle fun for the entire family. In addition, kids will also be offered a Bambino Kids Course where they can try demo bikes from different sponsors for free.

5. The Philbike Expo 2016 tickets are affordable.

Tickets will be sold on site at the SMX Convention Center for P150 per day. Children ages 12 and below can get a pass at 50 percent off while toddlers 3 feet and below are allowed to enter for free.

PhilBike Expo 2016 is the first and largest trade and consumer show dedicated to the promotion and development of cycling and related industries in the Philippines. The event is organized by Phil-Bike Convention, Inc.
