“Die Beautiful” star Paolo Ballesteros turned several heads in the movie’s premiere at the Tokyo Film Festival. Walking the red-carpet scene, Ballesteros transformed himself into Hollywood Actress Angelina Jolie.

Calling himself Angelina Magdangal, the "Eat Bulaga" star wore a Rau Uson-Ablaza gown for the movie premiere. The name he chose to adopt for the night is a combination of A-lister Angelina Jolie’s and Filipino singer-actress Jolina Magdangal’s names.

He took to Instagram to announce that he would be walking the red carpet as Angelina. Supporters remarked on how good and beautiful he was in his transformation.

As reported by ABS CBN News, “Die Beautiful,” which is directed by award-winning director Jun Lana, is among the 16 films competing at the celebrated international film festival. The Filipino movie was selected from among 1,502 titles from 98 countries and regions.

In the movie, Ballesteros plays a transgender woman whose dying wish was to be dressed up as Lady Gaga for her funeral. This sparked a fierce battle between her conservative Filipino-Chinese family and her well-meaning drag queen friends.

Aside from Ballesteros, the film also stars Joel Torre, Gladys Reyes, Luis Alandy, Albie Casiño, Christian Bables, and Inah de Belen, among others. The movie is being funded by the Hong Kong – Asia Financing Forum and produced by APT Entertainment, The Idea First Company, and October Train Films.

According to Manila Times, the film, which is co-produced by APT, Intalan, and Lana, is reportedly one of the rare times that a Filipino film has been included in the premiere category of the Tokyo Film Festival. “Die Beautiful” is also their entry to the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Director Jun Lana posted a trailer of the movie released by the Tokyo International Film Festival on his Facebook page. He invited those who are in Tokyo to watch the movie, which will be shown on Oct. 27 at the EX Theater Roponggi.
