"Macgyver" episodes

The episodes before "Cigar Cutter" are "Flashlight," "Compass" and "Hole Puncher." The titles were named after tools that are found in a Swiss Army Knife, as is the case with all of the episodes except the pilot.

Episode 18 titled "Flashlight" crossed over with "Hawaii Five-0," where Jack and Mack teamed up with Chin (Daniel Dae Kim) and Kono (Grace Park) from the Five-0 team. They rescued scientists that were trapped underground after a huge earthquake hit the area.

In episode 19 titled "Compass," Jack helped out Mac and his close friend from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) (guest star Aly Michalka) who faked her own death. It turns out somebody is after her and wants to kill her because they want to put a stop to her scientific research.

"Hole Puncher"

In episode 20 titled "Hole Puncher," Mac poses as a psychopath in order to save a tech analyst, who's the main target of an assassination. He also goes undercover to find out Murdoc’s reason for wanting to kill the analyst.

The show is a remake of the 1985 "MacGvyver" original action-adventure TV series starring Richard Dean Anderson in the titular role. It used to be aired on ABC and it lasted seven seasons. "MacGyver" 2016 airs every Friday from 8-9 pm, EST on CBS.
