Kapamilya fans were in for a treat as most of the popular ABS-CBN heartthrobs show off their basketball skills on Sunday. Two teams battled against each other inside the hard court in the recently concluded All-Star Basketball Game: Kapamilya Playoffs held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Here are three things you missed from the all-star Kapamilya Playoffs held on Nov. 27.

1. Kapamilya stars flock to SM MOA Arena

Several Kapamilya stars flocked to the venue to show their support for their fellow Kapamilyas at the Kapamilya Playoffs on Sunday. Among those spotted at the event were Kathryn Bernardo to cheer for rumored boyfriend, Daniel Padilla; and Bea Alonzo, who rooted for Gerald Anderson, her former boyfriend. Both were captains of each team.

Actors Loisa Andalio, Julia Barretto, Kim Chiu, Alexa Ilacad, Ria Atayde, Iñigo Pascual and Joshua Garcia also watched the game. Comedians Negi and Eric Nicolas hosted the Kapamilya Playoffs pre-show event.

2. Daniel Padilla team wins basketball game

Team Daniel took home the trophy, beating Team Gerald in a score of 96-93. Padilla’s team is consisted of Anjo Damiles, Axel Torres, Jon Lucas, Joseph Marco, Marco Gumabao, Paolo Angeles, Patrick Sugui, Ronnie Alonte, Vin Abrenica, Xian Lim and Zanjoe Marudo.

The opposing team was composed of Anderson, along with Arron Villaflor, Diego Loyzaga, Ejay Falcon, Gerhard Acao, Jayson Abalos, Jimboy Martin, Joe Vargas, Matt Evans, Rayver Cruz, and Young JV Kapunan.

3. Padilla was part of the mythical five

The 21-year old actor was also named as one of the mythical five of the match. The remaining spots were taken by Torres, Alonte, Kapunan and Anderson. Torres was also hailed as the Most Valuable Player (MVP).
