The most sought-after British rock band, Coldplay has treated its biggest fans on Saturday, Aug. 20 (Aug. 21, Manila time) in their two-hour concert at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles, California. Titled after their latest hit album, the “A Head Full of Dreams,” concert has been streamed live Globe Telecom (PSE: GLO) in partnership with the concert’s promoter, MMI Live, exclusively accessible for free to Filipino fans.

The British band was overwhelmed with an estimated crowd of 55,000 during their “A Head Full of Dreams” concert at the Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena, Los Angeles, California. The concert opened with the band singing the title track which stimulated the mood of the crowd. It was then proceeded with hits from their previous six records including “Yellow,” “Paradise,” “A Sky Full of Stars” and “The Scientist,” to name a few.

Globe sponsored a live streaming of the concert

One of the leading telecommunication networks in the country has treated the Filipino fans of Coldplay as it offered an exclusive access to the Aug. 20-concert (Aug. 21 Manila time) of the British band for free via livestream. In partnership with MMI Live, the concert promoter, the live streaming was accessible via #GlobeColdplay on Globe’s YouTube Channel. Streaming began at 12 noon on Sunday, Manila Time. The two-hour concert can be replayed on the same YouTube Channel.

Coldplay, along with fellow European band, U2, will come to Manila for separate concerts. Earlier, the former was rumored to perform in the last leg of November but the recent an official of the organizer says that the concert is due in April 2017, The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported. Meanwhile, the Irish band, U2 is scheduled to perform in the country in February 2017. Promoters for the concerts have already booked the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena for their performances. However, the bookings are not final unless the contracts have been signed.

The event has evidently heightened the excitement of Filipino fans as social media posts related to the concert topped the trending list of different social media platforms.
