Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB) has teamed up with Air France KLM Engineering and Maintenance (AFI KLM E and M) to provide support for most of its Airbus fleet. This includes full component support and solutions for CEB's Airbus A320 planes. Read on to learn more about it.

1. CEB and Air France KLM MRO signed a long-term contract which includes full component support and solutions for majority of its Airbus planes.
Aside from the full component support and solutions, the contract signed by Air France Industries-KLM Engineering and Maintenance and Cebu Pacific also covers local pool access and repairs. According to a statement from CEB on Tuesday, it is geared towards most of its Airbus fleet.
"This is our first agreement with Cebu Pacific and also our first component-support contract in the strategic Philippines market," Air France Industries Executive Vice President Gery Mortreux said in a statement.
2. The agreement between AFI KLM and CEB includes the maintenance and repair of over 40 Airbus A320s.
The partnership between the two companies covers the local budget airline's Airbus planes, which include four future Airbus A321neos and 36 Airbus A320ceos. The low-cost carrier founded by John Gokongwei, Jr, signed the contract with AFI KLM after a call for tenders in September 2016.
3. The contract between the two companies has an eight-year term.
Cebu Pacific Spokesperson Paterno Mantaring said that the long-term contract between AF and CEB will last for eight years. Singapore Airlines Engineering Co used to handle the maintenance of Cebu Pacific's planes.

Cebu Pacific, which was founded on Aug. 26, 1988, as Cebu Air. It offers low-cost services to passengers and it currently has a fleet of 59 aircraft, which includes four ATR 72-600 aircraft, four Airbus A319, seven Airbus A330, eight ATR 72-500 and 36 Airbus A320ceos. CEB currently has a total of 104 international and domestic routes. It includes 37 domestic destinations and 29 international destinations across Asia, the Middle East, the US and Australia.
Air France KLM Engineering and Maintenance background
AFI KLM E and M is a major multi-product Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) provider. It supports approximately 2,000 aircraft from 200 major domestic and international airlines. It offers comprehensive technical support for airlines, which covers line maintenance, engineering, aero structure, fan thrust reverser support and engine overhaul, among other services.
