Invasion of The Dominators from outer space

"Arrow" Season 5 , episode 8 "Invasion!" features the continuation of events from "The Flash" Season 3, episode 8. After Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), the "Arrow" team and "The Legends of Tomorrow" gang were captured by The Dominators and taken into their ship, Barry Allen / The Flash (Grant Gustin) was the only one left behind to help them out.

It's a good thing Felicity brought Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) to the "Arrow" team's lab in Starling City to help them figure out how to get back Oliver, Thea, Diggle and the others who were beamed up in The Dominators' ship. They had to get a special device from a certain Laura Washington (Erica Luttrell) to locate the deadly alien race's captives. Cisco, Felicity, Curtis Holt / Mr. Terrific (Echo Kellum), Rory Regan / Ragman (Joe Dinicol) and Rene Ramirez / Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez) discover that their friends are in deep space.

Shared Hallucination for the 100th episode of "Arrow"

As for Oliver, Thea, Diggle, Ray Palmer / The Atom (Brandon Routh) and Sara Lance / White Canary (Caity Lotz), they were initially trapped in a shared hallucination. Eventually, they realize that things aren't what they seem to be and are able to wake up from it. In the hallucination, their dead loved ones are suddenly alive, including Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy). Oliver was even set to marry Laurel, with Sara and Thea as her bridesmaids.

Diggle is Green Arrow?

Meanwhile, Diggle is The Green Arrow, and not Oliver, at least in the hallucination. Aside from all the confusion, they also had to deal with enemies such as Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman). By defeating them, Oliver and company were able to break free from The Dominators' hold on them.

Unfortunately, their battle is far from over despite their escape from the aliens. The Waverider was able to rescue them though. Ray figures out that The Dominators used their minds to gather intel and build a weapon. They also find out that the next destination of the alien race's mothership is Earth.
